Should you be able to sue someone because your dumb?

I'm sure most people by now have heard of the woman who mistakenly fell into the fountain at a Pennsylvania mall, because she was distracted by text messaging. The security staff took the fall captured by surveillance cameras and posted the it on Youtube last week where it has received more than 1.5 million views since then.

The security guard responsible for leaking the video has since been fired.

When I first seen this I laughed my ass off because it is funny as hell, then I thought here comes the lawsuit.Then I watched it like 10 more times and laughed some more.

And just like I thought along with plenty of others I'm sure,she lawyered up and has now filed a lawsuit against the mall claiming they did not help her,that there were no hand rails for her to catch herself with on top of the humiliation of the video being posted on the internet.

OK First of all absolutely no one would have known that was her on that video had she not went public admitting it was her.

Second She is in complete control of whether she walks herself into a huge ass fountain because she's texting instead of watching where she's going.

During an interview on Good Morning America she claimed through her lawyer that she was answering a text from a friend in her church.And tried to put herself in the same category as a helpless elderly person falling.

The kicker is this lady has a substantial criminal record with a case ongoing.

Just a few hours after Cathy Cruz Marrero appeared on Good Morning America with her attorney to talk about her stumble, the 49-year-old appeared in court for a hearing on five felony counts.
The charges include theft by deception and receiving stolen goods. For allegedly using a co-worker's Target credit card, charging $5,000 and her Zales credit card charging $1,055 for jewelery.



Her attempt to appear upset and distraught I feel failed miserably.
Also I don't think the security guards witnessed it as it happened..

According to public court documents, Marrero has convictions for retail theft four times and one other theft in New York from 1997 to 1999 and retail theft in York County in 1999.

She also received 12 months of probation after being convicted of a hit-and-run charge in Berks County in 2009.

Ok so we shouldn't judge her on her past I guess but can we judge her for being a dumbass I mean seriously if that was me I'd be laughing too at myself! Shit I'd be getting a copy to send to funniest videos, maybe win the $10,000 jackpot.

Good thing she wasn't driving. Wonder who she would be suing had she been driving a car and slammed into another car or something?
